Love the pie plate but instructions included say you can’t put cold pottery in hot oven. Then, how exactly, do you bake a pie?

Hi Michelle,
We apologize for the confusion. You can put our pie plates in the oven, but you cannot put your pie plate in a preheated oven. Putting a cold ceramic pie plate into the oven that is already preheated with cause thermal shock. It is sudden shifts in temperature that will result in your pottery cracking. To summarize, please place your pie plate in the oven and then turn it on so that the temperature of the pie plate and oven rise at the same rate. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
