Join us for ceramic glaze workshop led by John Vela, who brings over 25 years of experience in glaze formulation and troubleshooting for studios across Austin. In this workshop, you’ll learn the essentials of glaze chemistry, including how to create chemical formulas, batch making, troubleshooting common glaze issues, and developing your own unique glaze recipes. Participants will mix their own glaze, engage in an interactive Q&A session, and create test tiles (available for pick-up after firing), along with helpful resources for future glaze experimentation. This workshop is perfect for intermediate to advanced-level potters looking to elevate their glazing skills.
