What are Studio Originals?
Every potter knows the feeling. You mix a new glaze combination, try a different clay body, or experiment with a form that’s just slightly off from your usual work. Sometimes it works beautifully. Sometimes it doesn’t. And sometimes, it creates something completely unexpected.
Those are our Studio Originals.
These are the pieces that come from our creative process; test tiles, prototypes, experimental designs, and discontinued forms that we just couldn’t let go of.
What Makes Them Special
They’re truly one-of-a-kind. Unlike our regular production pottery, Studio Originals are made in very small batches, often just one or two pieces. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
They tell a story. Each piece represents a moment in our studio’s history, an experiment, a happy accident, or a form we tried once and loved.
Why We Do This
Our studio is a place of exploration. We try new glazes, new forms, and new techniques. Some of those experiments become part of our regular collection. Others remain one-of-a-kind treasures.
