Austin Pottery Classes: Join Our 6-Week Fall Session!
We’re thrilled to announce that our second session of 6-week pottery classes is now open for registration! Following an incredible response to our first round, we can’t wait to welcome new and returning students into the studio for another round of creativity, community, and clay.
Whether you’re a curious beginner or looking to refine your skills, our classes offer a supportive, hands-on environment where you’ll learn the entire process of creating functional pottery—from a lump of clay to a finished, glazed piece.
What Makes Our Classes Unique
Held in a working pottery studio in Austin, our classes give you a real-world glimpse into the life of a potter. With small class sizes and two experienced instructors, you’ll receive personalized guidance while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow clay enthusiasts.
What You’ll Learn
Over six weeks, you’ll build a solid foundation in both wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques, including:
Centering and throwing on the wheel
Hand-building with slabs, coils, and molds
Trimming and finishing your pieces
Glazing techniques to add color and texture
All materials, tools, firings, and instruction are included—just bring yourself (and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy)!
